The community Faak am See is situated between Villach (5 km) and Kagenfurt (30 km) at the shore of the lake with the same name. The resort has a number of entertainment possibilities such as concerts, lake festivals, folklore events, farm markets or the largest model railways in Europe. The surrounding area is good for excursions such as the one to the Castle Finkenstein with a number of concerts and plays, the capital city Klagenfurt, the thermals at Villach, the Eagle flight show on the Castle Landskron (7 km) or to Velden at Lake Wörther and Slovenia.
