The City Ile Rousse
Historical village with 2'760 inhabitants, directly by the sea, 62 km north-west from Corte, 87 km west from Bastia, 144 km north from Ajaccio. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Disco, museum. Monticello 4 km. Belgodere 17 km. Calvi 24 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Calvi (CLY) 24 km, Bastia (BIA) 87 km. Sightseeing: La Misericorde church, 18th century castle ruins, lighthouse on Pietra island, 15th century look-out tower, maritime museum, yacht harbour. Excursions to the mountain road on the island of Rousse. Small tourist train to Pietra island with its little red granite islands.
