The City Gruissan
The Clape mountain range over 15000 hectares overlooks the resort of Gruissan, an area classified natural heritage. Several trekking and mountain bike paths in the middle of the 'guarrigue' (local vegatation type). A market is held 3 times a week in the old town. The Cathare country, former home of the Knights Templar, is to the gates of Gruissan (castle, wine trails...). Small, quiet, family friendly, picturesque bathing resort directly by the sea, 15 km from Narbonne. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, disco, casino, evening entertainment. Indoor pool at 15 km. Besides: chemist, doctor. Access: motorway A7, exit number 'Narbonne-Est' 13 km from Gruissan. Railway station 'Narbonne' 15 km.
