Spacious dining room and large, comfortable lounge with stone fireplace, HiFi and TV. Large twin bedroom with en suite bathroom, hairdryer and wc. This attractively restored cottage forms part of a large country estate with private extensive grounds and a forest full of wildlife and surrounding fields perfect for walks and nature lovers. Patio with built-in barbecue and garden furniture. Set in the large back garden, an enclosed swimming pool (12x6m, 21/05-30/09) with sun loungers and parasol. Swings and table tennis available. River-fed lake for fishing half a mile away (fishing permit available locally).

Vouvant, classified as one of France's most beautiful villages, is situated in Vendee at the entrance to the Poitevin moors on the edge of the huge 5000 m2 forest Mervent-Vouvant small, picturesque, medieval village with 900 inhabitants, 15 km from Fontenay-le-Comte, 48 km from Parthenay. For arrivals by plane: airport Nantes (NTE) 110 km, Bordeaux (BOD) 235 km. Local sights to see: Ramparts and fortifications of the castle, Donjon, Melusine Tower (12th century), Roman brdige.
