The City New Quay
Picturesque bathing resort, in the southern part of the region directly by the sea, 32 km from Cardigan, 32 km from Aberystwyth, 50 km from Carmarthen. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Indoor pool, fitness centre. For arrivals by plane: airport Cardiff (CWL) 163 km. Village is built on terraced slopes falling steeply to the sandy beach and sheltered harbour. It has a small sandy beach by the harbour and a beautiful large beach. Formerly a shipbuilding centre and fishing port, Dylan Thomas once lived here. Activities include: boat trips, dolphin spotting, fishing, sailing, golf. To visit: Cardigan island, Pembroke Castle.
