Sestriere is the centre of the ski carousel of the 'Via Lattea' in the Valle del Chisone with 56 ski lifts, 70 ski runs of over 250 km length and all grades of difficulty, 3 ski schools with 100 instructors, child-minding for over4's. 3 km of cross country ski trail, ice stadium. Winter season from November to May. Calais 1003 km. Planned dates for 2007/8: resort opens 7 Dec 2007. Resort closes 13 Apr 2008. Ski region Via Lattea. 200 ski runs, total length 400 km, snowboard piste, snow park. Ski school, snowboard school, childrens ski school. Ice rink. Ski bus.
