The City Marsala
Marsala is a little town with around 80 000 inhabitants in the Trapani province on the west coast of Sicily. A wealth of culture and agriculture on around 250 km2. For decades, Marsala has tried to be the provincial capital. It is built on the ruins of the ancient Lilibeo, one of the Carthagian towns. The land also includes the island's nature reserve 'Isole dello Stagnone di Marsala'. The town's formation is directly linked with that of Mozia, one of the Archipelagian islands, founded in the 8th century BC and which was one of the most important Phoenician-Punic towns.
